Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, where the mighty Nile River dramatically squeezes through a narrow 7-metre gorge before plunging 43 metres to create the spectacular Murchison Falls. Covering approximately 3,893 square kilometres, the park offers one of Africa’s most diverse safari experiences, combining breathtaking waterfalls, vast savannahs, riverine forests, wetlands, and abundant wildlife.

Located in northwestern Uganda, the park is home to over 76 mammal species and more than 450 bird species, making it one of the country’s premier wildlife destinations. Visitors can encounter elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes, hippos, Nile crocodiles, leopards, and countless bird species, while nearby Budongo Forest adds unforgettable chimpanzee trekking to the adventure.
